Killergun needs some help

Heya,

 

recently my laptop has been giving some problems and unfortunately due it, i mite need to format the c drive and i made a mistake of not installing my game on the D drive. So i wanna know if there is anyway i can retain my rank, classes, challenges completed and other stuff...

...dunno how, maybe there is some folder where the stuff is being saved, so u just have to make a backup...unfortunately dunno what folder is xD

Yeah their is. Post your OS. xp or vista or windows 7 ?

if it's vista ... which 90% sure for laptop who can run cod4 it's over there:

 

:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\<NAME>\

 

under this folder you have 2 files that you need to save player info and rank:

 

config_mp.cfg

mpdata

 

this is for Multipalyer part but for single player backup also Save folder inside your profile

This will be helpful to me too since I'm going to be installing Windows 7 Professional tonight. Hopefully it works.

 

Just don't change your CD key, other wise you'll get a run-time error. =P
