It doesn't work as well if the objects are disproportionately sized as you don't fully comprehend both objects. But it works on finding the blind spots in the occipital lobe really. It's a cheap-er party trick similar to the trick that when you put your finger closer to your nose, then eventually you stop seeing it. The head seems to appear and disappear when I get closer. as the guy in the video says, you gotta sit yourself properly until his head vanishes. too close and its there, too far and its there. but even still, i thought it was neat how the black rod still showed itself although you couldnt see his head.
