Chuckun Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 What made you bring up this topic? Generally when we see news topics anywhere on the internet and we find them interesting / think others might like to read it, we share it here for others to see I don't think ajnl has any hidden motives for this thread Quote
WeetBix KiD Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Our laws are pretty much on par with England (thanks Queenie lol) You cannot have a gun unless you have a license, otherwise it is illegal. Sure idiots still get a them and shoot people. Only last week a 16 year old girl was shot and killed by a sawn off shot gun by her 22 year old ex boyfriend. But I believe the shootings have gone down because of this law. Not every tom, **** and Harry can carry one. Even if they were legal I would never have one in my house anyway. My nightmare would be the kids getting it. On the subject of Nuclear Weapons, as far as I had always know most countries did have them. I think the media like to use scare tatics. Id love to see the world without nuclear weapons, wars etc. But sadly it will never happen.....Got me wondering if Australia has any??? Probably, but have never heard about it Quote

Not only is it scare tactics but it's also indoctrinating people into thinking that those other countries with nuclear weapons are evil and planning to destroy everyone, so that if and when our governments decide they want war to settle their finances, we back it because we're the good guys and they're the bad guys.. Lol. The media plays a massive role in what governments can do, because ultimately, we are brainwashed by media very easily. Quote

Probably, but have never heard about it I think you should have a license for a gun. But making guns completely illegal no matter what won't help. 1 Quote
