Read from local PC magazine that kernel.org has been breached. As its on paper then its already over 1 month old but still figured that its good to alert others also. Couldn´t find more information about it. Only that as if kernel.org is starting point to all linux distributions and all of them are overlooked and are "compiled" differently then its minor chance that exactly my distro gets working malicious software updates.

Though Im wondering where did this incident exactly took place and do I need to be more cautious about latest or oldest kernel updates\distros? And please feel free to explain\put it in more technically correct format...

I think you explained well enough really. But yeah, if linux kernels are modified by the hackers then this could be a major issue for current linux users who installed or updated their linux kernel post-breach.
