bell reavue Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 If we're not asking people to submit their guid anymore, then perhaps it should be taken out of the application: http://fearless-assassins.com/topic/8-read-first-before-applying-how-to-join-fa/ Quote
Panini*Hobbit@mp3 Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Maybe it would be a good idea to keep it in the application, not visible to the public except admins if that's possible? Either that or if the person is new, one of the admins should send them a PM asking for the guid and that way only the admin and the person applying know the guid Just a suggestion Edited October 20, 2011 by Panini*Hobbit@mp3 Quote
G!NG3R420 Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I think before the generator they didn't need it. Why have an applicant with no guid if there is a way to now have a guid now? @panani- Only the higher admins can see the guid on forums already. Quote
PiaNist Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 i think bell is refering to 'submitting guid in forum profile' which is no longer necessary at the moment.......but every applicant must have a guid Quote
Scream Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Only staff and above can see guids. We have our own ways to examine somebody before approval/denial of the application. Although, since we have the etkey generator, it'd be easier if people submitted their guids. 2 Quote
yourfriend Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 No idea where I posted relating to this... maybe it was deleted. So where can people go if they want to apply and submit their GUIDs? since it doesn't seem to be in the profile anymore... Quote
Chuckun Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I've asked for it to be reinstated: http://fearless-assassins.com/tracker/issue-421-et-guid-field-re-activate/page__gopid__1174#entry1174 For now, if you want to apply, put your GUID in your application (or in the COD GUID box and explain it in your app), and a staff+ member will move it to the ET GUID field in your profile and remove it from your public application Quote
bell reavue Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 ET GUID field has been reinstated Thanks Quote
