KevinBacon Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 I like this idea of listing off all the jobs we've had. Unfortunately I do not have anything very interesting to list either. I've been... -A math and reading tutor for 3rd graders, in addition to taking private jobs -A drive thru guy for Dairy Queen -A payroll tech and traveling company trainer for a sattelite company -And most recently a draftsman for a couple of construction companies over the last few years. Done some neat stuff there, including writing CNC code for this multi-million dollar machine... http://youtu.be/wMEr_H7UyLI But now I'm just a jobless mook.... @ Doc So you're a phlebotomist? Quote
docwarren Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Used to be. Nurse now. Did phlebotomy for about a year. Edit: Finally got that video to load on my phone. Awesome machine, Kev. How often do the bit have to get changed out. Bet they get pretty hot without any lube. I have a thousand broken bits laying on my workbench from just trying to drill holes in metal. Quote
KevinBacon Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 My brother is taking his state/national phlebotomist exam today in Sacramento....he's nervous as shit! Me mum is an RN, I'm proud of her. Heh! Quote
Tarzan Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 kevin, go become a mailman:) It's good fun, especially in the winter. Bikeskating on ice with trucks driving past you is freaking awesome..............and you need beer afterwards Quote
=Death Hunter= Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 hahaha but mailcarriers make decent money for sure. I used to build structures. I-beams for buildings and go put them together. I also used to build bridges. I had a job in a galvanizing facility. And we used to build tins of guardrail stuff there. Highway safety systems. I saw so many ppl at that place get hurt! Lol! I literally wasstanding beside a guy when a 25' guard rail section flew out of a mill and hit my buddy in the calf. Split him from knee to ankle....naaasty Quote
