To know little a bit about the show you can always read Wikipedia (Game Of Thrones). Also you can check here: Game of Thrones: What the Critics Think (by hollywoodreporter.com) anyway last episode (n°10) of the first season was last night on HBO, and HBO has renewed Game of Thrones for a second season coming this 2012. for people who wanna know what next, you can always read George R. HBO is doing a great job following them, although it is difficult to put the whole story in the series. The books are good with well developed characters and strategy.
