Raters' clan

Here is my first thought of few raters:

Then there are good rater who will help you to balance the teams when needed, keep an eye on cheater or even help new players on server. Basically non egoistic players who play for fun and can also actually rate nicely.

 

What I noticed is many (not all) of the rating players don’t care about how the person is or what he does or he is cheater or not in past. They will invite one to there group having 20 rating+ because according to them he is skilled and they will even whine on players having less then 15 rating saying they suck blah blah.

 

Then there is third kind of players called assholic players. The reason I call them assholic is because they are two faced, shit minded person. They tend to be nice when admins are around and when not around they stack the teams, abuse admin to get more rating. Eventually everyone knows how shitty they are.

 

More or less, lately I have seen few players even started making videos of players helping other team members by giving them medic packs, reviving them, etc. ET was made to enjoy the game play and play in team. Now one player does same, gives medic to the players all around in the map and even revives them. To me he is best medic but in eyes of rater, he is medic whore.

 

All this rating things are bullshit in my opinion because system in itself is flawed.

1. You can change your name. Play one map good and suck in others and keep on high rating. Basically there should be only one alias for the life time you play and then let’s see how much you keep up with rating.

2. Each map should start with fair play i.e. no stacked teams and balance teams. Now let’s see how much you can kill.

3. After shuffle you shouldn’t be able to go to spec. Many of this rating players go in spec and join winning team saying there buddy is playing in that team. Kiss my ass, a**h****, you just suck and for high rating you going to spec to join winning team.

 

I can go on and on and you ever noticed any rating player playing on FF ON server? Ask them to play on our hardcore and rate in top 10 continuously and bunch of them will pussy out because on those servers you can’t rate.

Note: I never mention ‘clan’ or hardly do. It’s all about individual person.

Xp whore isn't what you meant. I and raters call somebody xp whorer when a player is giving medpacks or ammo at spawn or even all over the map while the full map. But he does this ONLY to get some rating shit and get on top of SL/TB. I mean he doesn't care at all about helping others.

 

Anyway, after all .. ET is a fps where you have to shoot first, right?

ET pub servers are decades back comparing to rtcw servers,where even nowdays there are servers which are full objective oriented and every player newbie or not does obj.

Also there is a tdm server on rtcw which has a good population,and even there you will get revived in no time unlike et.

I myself used to rate for hmm 1.5 month,20 rate and adios will never touch jaymod again other than fun gaming.

You probably missed one topic on trackbase where they labelled one with XP Whore although he was doing same which I mentioned in previous post.

Probably, since i (almost) never check TB forum

But that guy can claim he's giving medpacks to help others, you just need to check if he's switching nicks. If he does, that's bullshit lies and he's only interested by rating.

Anyway, don't blame me. They can whore as much as they want, it just make me smile 5 sec when i see it now.

If you're talking about soxx, he didnt do it to help out his team, he did it just to get rating. Incase you're talking about BossHK I agree with you

I was rating in my Et Career too.

In these days my goal was to be in top of Sl because i thought then im cool, famous etc...

But i recognized fast that its hard to get up in the list. Thats why some use cheeky tricks i guess.

After one year i was exhaused and bored of rating and i stoppped it.

The positive thing what i earned thru my rating time was the increase of my playing skills,

because i played so much always with an goal in my head.

 

Now being in this wonderful clan satisfies my et lust more then rating ever could,

so im purified now

I played for rating for a couple of months (with another nick), then I realized that those people above me (I had 21.8 on sl, so not many) were either better than me and unreachable (Olykiller was first I remember) or xp whores, who played in a french server where giving ammo packs ad nauseam was tolerated. I decided to quit that thing. And by the way, how much is 'whoring'? Can you give one or 2 medipacks? maybe 3? In my opinion rules should be clear and verifiable, or it makes no sense.

Thank you for responses i have learnt much from your insights. Becoming a better player a is nothing to frown upon having supportive clans to do that sounds even better but the whole concept fails on the individual nature of rating.

 

Looking at the behaviour of most of these players i can't imagine how would they help each other becoming better shooters. Way too much ego. To me, they often look lie a club of elite (or wannabe elite) players who gather to enjoy their exploits.

 

Exploits, the lowest thing I could imagine is hunting down newbies on a server. These players come to noob servers and intentionally rob these starters of their experience.

It's a cowardly, mean despicable act.

nope rules are clear,if a player wants to xp whore he will find a way,i remember old summer days with hate clan lmao but thats another story which shouldnt get revived
