Your computer doesnt have OpenGL compatible drivers (for your graphics card) installed. This normally occurs when the standard windows drivers are used.

How to fix it?

Go to the website of your Graphics Card manufacturer and download the newest drivers for your videocard.

ATI owners - http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html

Nvidia owners - http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

This error can also occur if you have a wrong video mode selected for your system (monitor). For instance a too high resolution of 1600x1024 may not work depending on your monitor and/or graphics card.

Someone correct me quickly if this is wrong, (i'm a newb at this):

From the first links on google:

WARNING: missing Glide installation, assuming no 3Dfx available

http://www.3dfxzone....moky/glide.html

glide20030211.zip >> extract in >> windows/system32

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

If updating your graphics drivers failed, try to update them in safemode as they may be protected.

Do you know what graphics card you have?

right click My Computer, and go to properties.

Then click the hardware tab and then click on device manager.

Then open up Display Adaptrors

and it should be there
