GI-JOE Posted April 7, 2011 Author Posted April 7, 2011 more importantly STALKER alert I think you might be right o.O Nice kit. Is it all pulse? I bought a 5pc Pulse from Muscian's friend a couple years back, and added 8" and 10" toms/cymbal stand to the kit for $80 from Ebay which luckily had VERY similar hardware.. I'd post pics of my kit, but basement lighting sucks, and almost all my cymbals are destroyed. I tend to break things, often What'd the pdp double pedal cost you? Any complaints/issues? I'm using a Ludwig speed king and lugs just won't stay tight on the beaters and chains, it's driving me nuts. I'd love an Iron Cobra... but $ stops me.. It's all Pulse except for one of my Floor toms, I forget which brand that one is...but it's a weird size (15 inches) Lol I broke most of my cymbals, I was fortunate enough to have a great friend who doesn't really drum anymore and gave me some of his, so I feel your pain on the cymbal front. My pdp's cost me about $100 and after a few years they got sluggish and don't respond as well so I can't really do any dynamic bass drum patterns anymore (so I switched to a single pedal) but idk, they're not the worst pedals I've ever used, and I imagine the newer models are probably more reliable. Like his? It looks like it was chomped on by a velociraptor. Lol I love Mike Portnoy, and yeah I've got a few cymbals that look like a dinosaur took a bite out of them whaha I think i lost my mind when i sold the kit, but it was a cheap hayman kit when I buy a new one it will be somthing worth hitting, my cymbals produced the same noise as beating on a traffic sign whaha Amen man, I can't wait to have the money to upgrade Quote

speedfact Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 i was the kid taht wanted to play the drums but wasnt allowed to due to no musical sense (seriously i was banned from the music room..not cause i put jelly in the tubas or soap in the trumpets...but because of my lack of skills..) Quote
FunkybananA Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 nice funky, looks like sound proofing walls as well. Thanks! And yeah they sure are soundproof walls. The whole downstairs was built to be the musical sanctuary . Nowadays there's also a homemade musicstudio, and as soon as it's complete, I'll be recording and taping some drumcovers for people to see . Quote

docwarren Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Sold my Pearl cage in 1993. Got married & "no room"..... aka my wife wouldn't let me keep them as very poor newlyweds. It's all good though. I picked up guitar = cheaper & take up less room. However, I now have 3 guitars & 2 amps. Once the wife gets a job again (not worked in 8 years) I am promised a new kit. Doc Quote
sicsiksix Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Nice kit Joe. Didn't know there were so many drummers in F|A?! I've got a PDP (Pacific) M5 series kit myself. I've had it for around 5 years now, and I don't have any complaints except that maybe I don't get around to playing it enough. COD has taken over most of my free time! Quote
Post(?)Organic Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I just have a very basic Pearl kit, I need a double bass pedal for it though I'll post an actual picture of it tomorrow or something Quote
