Urine_Sample Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 I never heard of eParts & More and found them while I was looking for a GTX 285 and came across this new one for $250 while the other e-tailers ask up to $300, some refurbuished at that. link They seem to have a lot of refurbished stuff in their catalog, but for good price provided all is well with the hardware. Have any of yous ever heard of eParts? Do you think they have good deals in their limited item listing? Quote
FiveMagic Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) You can refurbish graphics cards? Eh, sounds kind of wierd but thats just my opinion. Edit: miss-read, if its new then it's a good deal. I think i've heard of them but not sure if they're reliable. Edited February 18, 2011 by FiveMagic Quote
RoosterCogburn Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Are you for sure you want 285? For that price and for what your getting, I don't think I can let you buy that. Its not even ddr5. Quote

It'll run almost every game maxed, Damn i don't get why Amd & Nvidia keep pumping out graphics cards if you can't use them I agree though you could get better for the same price. Quote
Urine_Sample Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 Damn!!! do people really pay $1,500 just for a graphics card? PNY Nvidia Quadro 5000 2.5GB 352 Cores GDDR5 PCIe x16 Yikes!! I'm guessing it's not just any graphics card, but THE graphics card, for the next 2 months or so... Quote
rolf Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Those quadro cards are a little bit better; better parts are chosen (less chance on hardware failure). More important, those drivers are better, more stable. You pay for the stability & reliability, which for a gamer are totally not interesting, but better for designers in that area. You can expect that card to be comparable with a GF GTX465. Never heard of eParts before... Quote
Dupstep Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 NVIDA lovers. Take AMD,cheaper, more freedom useable. Quote
Vanaraud Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Quadro series are meant for graphics designers and other proffessionals, I guess they have lowe FPS as I dunno like nvidia 6200 in games. Quote
Urine_Sample Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 NVIDA lovers. Take AMD,cheaper, more freedom useable. I'm an ATi fan myself. It's all i have in my machines. One has a XFX HD4350, 2nd has VisionTek5670, my 3rd i was able to revive my 9800XT(some old AGP card) and my fourth machine recently got a babied with a Asus Radeon 6870. I know nVIDIA are just as good, but I've always been fanboyish towards ATi to the point that I was pleased to know that although the Wii may not be HD, it and GameCube are running on ATi chips(lawl). However, I'm doing a project for this one cat who doesn't know much about computers but likes the nVIDIA name, so I might as well build his rig with a vid card from the name he likes most. Quote
