Dead Space 2

To start with Im not much of a horror fan but with this thrilling "creature-shooting" game I was hooked up from first steps in previous release. The game is so well balanced that even if your pulse doesn´t go down from 100 beats per minute it is still fun to shoot those dam bastards in pieces. And one I tell you if your pulse goes below before mentioned threshold then the Marker must have infected you.

The story isn´t so original or full of twists one can say its even "unpolished" considering that after finishing now the second part I still don´t know the names of the "creatures". Only thing what I learned in first DS is that there are big "creatures" who need to be dealt with BIG guns, and then there are little annoying "creaturettes" who are best put down with little but fast caliber. The story goes by classics, there are some alien stuff which creates zombie like creatures, but don´t get me wrong. The characters and story with many pretty intriguing tasks which are greater variety in 2nd part. And to be true most of the time you are more busy thinking about who might jump out from next corner than with general plot.

And when theres some time to think about then its filled out with weapons and suit modifications. The weapons can be fine tuned as one see fit and all improvements have fatal impact on finishing the game as the general choise of guns. Oh and then there are the suits, not so much upgradable for armor but for look. Sounds like going for shopping for new dress and basically it is so, but one must admit its cool how he jumps out every time with suit built up with more shiny metals ;)

So in general its a great game and after finishing it all adrenaline pumped out one just have to start the New Game+ with all the new cooler suits and guns you couldn´t afford to try out with first play.

PS. To understand some points of the game playing through first part is advisable. Especially the ending of 2nd part is parody like when you know the first part.

Just tried the demo with forbaken last night on my ps3. Playing it in the dark on a 58 inch plasma with 7.1 surround sound makes the game have plenty of "jump" moments. Sound effects really put you into the game hearing all the background noises and just thorw you in there. Im not a fan of controllers but it was easy enough, story seemed like itd be interesting but I never played the first one so I'm sure I'd be lost. Even in the demo I was lost, couldnt tell if I was on the planet or on a ship. Might pikc it up when its not 60 bucks.

I was playing it on a 59 inch screen with 8.1 surround sound.

And fors, if you care about the story part, you should play the first one first. It really is a great game if you like the jumpy parts in games.

Just finshed this in 11 hours 30 minutes on normal this game was amazing.

Dead space 2 was so intense to play and it was not easy to finish.

I would rate this 9/10 and a most play

tips:

1: Always use the save stations at every chance you get

2: Always make sure you got a lot of ammo at all times because it does not last long

3: Use doorways, walkways and corners to fight monsters. In big open spaces you will get owned every time there just to many monster to kill all at once
