Hitsound problem!

Hey guys.. I've played around with cg_hitsounds (1 and 2, no difference)

 

My problem is, I can only hear headshots.. There's no 'donk' for bodyshots, only 'dink's for headshots.. Anyone know whats going on? And how do I fix it?

which mod?

 

on etpro you can choose between all hitsounds or only hs

b_hitsounds 1 --> all

b_hitsounds 2 --> only hs

Ok I replaced the jaymod pk3 with an exact copy and it now works =/

 

I've no idea how but the hitsound wav must've corrupted..?

 

Anyway, it's all sorted - Thanks for your help SunLight!

You should of kept it. Then you could have sounded like full pro headshotter ( to yourself)

seta cl_hitsounds "1"

that should solve ur problem

Lmao, I am a pro headshotter I get plenty xD But seriously, its horrible - you don't know if you're even hitting them unless its a HS.. >.< Nightmare!

Thanks dude but it was actually the .wav file within the jaymod pk3 =/ I've no idea how or why, it makes no sense at all, but replacing it worked

thought i was trippin. it happened to me too. im pewpewpew'n then got killed. i thought the guy had some kind of anti-hit hax or sumthin...then i saw this <player name> had 24 hp left. then i went 0,0. so i kept playin and i heard *tinktinktink* (headshots) but no body shots. so to stop all confusion, i started throwing knives and ended map with 48 kills with 4 kills by gun

Mate the amount of times i've got 'most headshots' is unreal I get plenty of headies - I honestly couldn't wish for more But to think you're not hitting AT ALL other than 2 hs then nothing nothing nothing nothing is horrible - makes you feel like you're gonna die every time

when i had same problme (no hitsounds) and played ET i didnt really know when enemy would die, but my acc increased a little bit

That doesn't work for me xD I just start moving more (thus hitting less) because I don't know if im doing well or not :L
