genuinely caring for et isn't giving up at the first sign of trouble or confusion.

are u using a ai program to generate ur responses ...

do i like jay1 settings nope not really. but obviously its what the majority want that play there.....

there is a reason jaymod isnt a scrim mod.  jaymod isnt etpub. or silent .. u cant force raters to be team players they wouldnt be in top 10 or 100 if they did. on a 25v25 server. most of what et was built on wasnt anything to do with more than 15v15. or double jump or dren or throwing knives or any of the bloated crap. one thing that always stands out is no one wants to play on a server full of bawts an no players.

i do agree tho it seems that server is about population not about comradery... hence the  trolls the raters and the no teamwork.the stacked teams .being a admin on jay1 can sure become real fast a full time job.

First off, questioning whether I use AI to respond is a pretty weak attempt to discredit what I'm saying instead of addressing the actual issues. These are my opinions based on what I've personally experienced playing on these servers.

And it's funny because you literally just acknowledged the same problems I've been talking about. Trolls, stacked teams, lack of teamwork, and a server more concerned with population than camaraderie. So what exactly are we arguing about?

And don't mistake me stepping away from an admin position for giving up on ET. I spent my time trying to encourage teamwork, fairness, and objective play, only to be met with constant criticism and hostility.

I didn't give up on the game. I decided I'm not wasting my time trying to help manage a server where legitimate concerns get brushed aside.

I'll continue playing ET, helping newer players, and encouraging teamwork because that's what I actually enjoy about the game. I don't need an admin title to do any of that.

Maybe focus less on questioning me personally and more on the problems you just admitted exist.

And another thing, you say Jay1 has the settings that the majority of players want. How do you know that? Have you considered that maybe people are playing there because it's the only populated server, not because they actually enjoy the settings?

I personally think Jay1 has terrible settings, ridiculously low spawn times, and a serious lack of teamwork and objective play. But when that's where all the players are, what other choice do people have if they want to play on a populated server?

Maybe if there was more effort put into populating other FA servers, people would actually have options instead of everyone being concentrated on Jay1. I'd much rather see servers where teamwork, objectives, and camaraderie are encouraged.

And you literally acknowledged the same problems I've been talking about. Trolls, stacked teams, no teamwork, and population being prioritized over camaraderie. So why am I being criticized for pointing those things out?

I didn't give up on ET. I stepped away from an admin position because I got tired of the hostility and constantly being questioned for trying to improve things. I'll continue playing, helping newer players, and encouraging teamwork. I don't need an admin title to do that.

A populated server doesn't automatically mean a healthy community, and just because people tolerate something doesn't mean they're happy with it.

@SpiralSentinel seems you already came up with your conclusion, for the sake of the argument, let's take an example:

Imagine a game 20v20,  and a core of team with engies and medics focusing on the objective, and physically near it. The rest of the team is around the map. The core team is doing good but no progress, efforts seem to be fruitless.

Now, one of them is a top fragging medic/soldier now conveniently relocates between enemy spawn and objective, effectively cutting reinforcement but distant from obj location, which in a number of observed cases, was bringing the biggest share of added value the team was needing.

I have seen this case, even some engineers at obj complaining not enough support at obj.

An excellent example is the mortar. Above 20v20, they are often top fraggers of the game.

Another example is snipers, which if silencing defusing engineers only, would have a low frag count and are not located near the obj, but actually contributed more to the game that objective engineers.

I have observed so many times. Yet people are complaining they understand everything about teamwork. On Italy map, is it more important to focus on the jeep or on the CP ? we actually need both and it highly depends on the phase of the game; my own assessment, before entering the obj tower, allies should have a real but limited part of the team focusing on attacking/defending the CP, and i'm happy if around 20% of the team is working towards that end (i.e. 3-5 teammates in a 20p team).

In the end, the real teamwork contribution is really complex to evaluate, even when speccing, and i wouldn't that quick to evaluate.

Also, please consider @Vice86's post, he took time to give you the difference in game style and experience for the various FA servers.

I think you're completely missing the point I've been trying to make.

I never said everyone needs to stand directly on the objective, and I never said getting kills doesn't contribute to teamwork.

A sniper taking out enemy engineers, a mortar cutting off reinforcements, or a medic preventing enemies from reaching the objective are all contributing to the team. That's literally teamwork, and I support that 100%.

What I'm talking about is players who blatantly ignore objectives, refuse to revive teammates right next to them, sit around farming kills, and make absolutely no effort to help their team advance.

I've personally witnessed this countless times, including experienced players and FA members doing it.

You can give me all the hypothetical scenarios you want, but that doesn't change what I've actually experienced playing on Jay1.

There's a difference between getting kills to help your team win and getting kills because you couldn't care less whether your team wins.

And I don't think it takes some incredibly complex evaluation to recognize when players are making absolutely no effort to support their teammates.

My entire argument has been about encouraging more teamwork, objective play, and camaraderie. I don't understand why that seems to be such a controversial thing to advocate for in a team-based, objective-driven game.

I think you have too narrow view of what constitutes teamwork. Just because you don't have a personal medic following you around with a syringe in hand doesn't mean medics aren't doing their job. A highly skilled medic dealing 15K–20K damage can be just as useful to the team.

Of course, there are medics who will run right past your body without reviving you. Those players deserve to be called out and publicly shamed.

But there are also engineers so focused on "completing the objective" that they don't even realize they're actually helping the opposing team.

Allies bringing the truck to the depot before capturing the flag in Supply Depot is one example.

Another example of engineers sabotaging their own team is when Allies engineers build the second ladder on Oil Kombinat.

So yeah, I think it goes both ways.

Where did I ever say I needed a personal medic following me around with a syringe? That's not even remotely what I've been saying.

I understand perfectly well that a medic dealing 20K damage can contribute to the team. But having high damage doesn't automatically mean someone is a good team player either.

And yes, engineers can make mistakes and actually hurt their team's progress. I never claimed otherwise.

My entire point has been about players who blatantly disregard teamwork, ignore opportunities to help teammates, and prioritize their personal stats over the team.

There's a difference between strategically killing enemies to help your team advance and farming kills while completely ignoring what's happening around you.

You say it goes both ways, and I agree. That's exactly why I've been advocating for better teamwork across ALL classes, not just medics or engineers.

It's honestly amazing how something as simple as encouraging teamwork, revives, communication, and objective play has turned into people arguing with me about things I never even said.

ET is a team-based game. Wanting people to actually play like a team shouldn't be controversial.

Yeah you definitely don't need to be an admin in order to promote team play and just like we said, we can't enforce team play, that is simply not going to happen. If you force it too much, players will just mock you or ignore you. So, if you care so much about it, go play some games on Silent 1, here you'll see that there's a lot more teamwork. People heal more, and allies win frequently you'll notice. At least, that's what I experienced.

Funny how FA's own Rule 24 says team play is required, yet encouraging objective play seems to be such a controversial subject on Jay1. I'm just asking for the rules and teamwork to be taken seriously.

Nobody said anything about forcing players to do anything. There's a huge difference between forcing teamwork and actually encouraging it.

And you pretty much just proved my point. You're acknowledging that Silent1 has better teamwork, more healing, and better objective play. So why aren't we making more of an effort to populate those servers instead of accepting Jay1 as the default?

I think a lot of players are on Jay1 simply because that's where everyone else is, not necessarily because they love the settings or the gameplay.

I'm not asking to control how everyone plays. I'm questioning why wanting better teamwork and a better experience for the community keeps getting dismissed.

I care about ET and want to see it thrive. That shouldn't be such a difficult concept to understand.

I have no problem keeping things respectful. My concerns have always been about the gameplay, server settings, lack of teamwork, and the overall direction of Jay1. I'm entitled to express those concerns just as others are entitled to disagree with them.

Okay there is no need to be passive agressive, cuz this is not gonna get you anywhere. If you want to be respected, show us RESPECT. People involved in the conversation tried giving you advices, you don't agree, fine but don't give us shit like "oh this man is slow, like someone with down syndrome" and besides that is 100% disrespectful to people who have down syndrome. I'm not gonna argue with you anymore cuz we are moving in circles.

Besides, to make ET alive again, that would mean making a big advertisement to this game. Are most people nowadays attracted to old games ? Probably not. And migrating the server population from Jay 1 to others is just gonna kill Jay 1. Those who genuinely enjoy this server might leave the game for not finding good equivalent server with active players and similar settings. Besides, Silent 1 already has a good server population, especially during evenings in Europe time.

Express your concerns is very different from that sentence above.

Keep it respectful, please. That was a warning.

People with autism are smarter then you think. Please refrain from using the term "slow" next time. I'll let it slide for now.

You should think before you type.

I am locking this thread because respectfully, it's going nowhere and has turned into a shitshow.

You have some nerve coming in here and insulting our admins.

I will leave it at that.

Have a good day.
