Ashuyai Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 What kind of specs on the PC you have and what's the primary usage along with ET? 😄 1 Quote

Also, only games that are played right now are ET, my kids play Roblox and Dragonballz Kakarot. I’ve only had the PC for about a month now. Honestly, not really sure what games I’m going to be playing on here besides ET 😄 1 Quote
Ashuyai Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 (edited) I would probably try to search a 27" 1440p IPS panel one to have a little bit of future proofing 😄 MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD 165Hz along with FreeSync support and G-Sync compatibility should make sure it doesn't have any tearing for the faster paced games no matter the GPU brand. Asus VG27AQ TUF 27" Quite similar to the MSI, but lacks FreeSync support. Won't matter if you have an NVidia GPU. Main difference between the two would be the color quality from bigger viewing angles, hence the Asus being more expensive. VA panels would also be an option but those do tend to have more blurriness in faster paced games which ET and DBZ do be. They have a better color contrast but the prior might be too bothersome of an issue 😄 I got no idea on the on the prices around there but both of those I managed to find at about 200-ish area. Edited November 6, 2025 by Ashuyai Asus also should have it, the site I checked at first said otherwise :D 2 1 2 Quote

Snake in the Grass Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 The one i bought last year: Dell G3223D 32" QHD (2560x1440) contrast 1000:1 165Hz Fast IPS / 1ms AMD FreeSync Premium Pro G-SYNC Compatible, 95% DCI-P3, HDR I think i invested around 400 EUR at the time, making the only nice feature in my hardware config (im playing on a laptop with an old GeForce). Please note that i am turning 50yo in 11.9 month 😁 (playing without glasses) and the screen is put about 80cm from my face, so i needed the size. Honestly, it rocks 👍 this specific model might not be available anymore but similar updated offer is certainly available. 1 Quote

Shoresy Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 Yooo honestly same. Im leaving work now so mainly commenting to remind myself to read all the nice suggestions above but for now, I’m hijacking 50% of this topic. It shall be “Lush and Shoresy needs a new monitor” 5 Quote
Element' Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 (edited) Hey bud, what resolution are you looking for? (1080p, 1440p, etc.) What kind of FPS are you seeing in ET? What hz monitor do you have now? If you are seeing high 200s fps in ET I would try to match your FPS to monitor hz (monitor refresh rate). For example I can reach stable 240 FPS in ET (most of the time) with /com_maxfps 240 so I went with a 240hz monitor, although it’s 1080p (doh) I’m still seeing all my frames available. I hope this helps a little. Edited November 6, 2025 by Element' 1 1 Quote
lp24db Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 (edited) My son uses the same LG as phir0x and is very happy with it. I personally use two Iiama prolite XU2792QSU-B6 primaly for work but there annoying slow, even in overdrive mode. So i look after new ones too. Does someone have experience with the HP Omen stuff? Like OMEN Omen 27q G2? Edited November 7, 2025 by lp24db 1 1 Quote
ELSO Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 If it's only gonna be used for gaming at the desk(from up close), then I don't recommend anything bigger than 27". Also get 1440p cause if you don't then trust me, you will regret going for only 1080p. In your budget anything 144hz+ will be good. Deffinitely don't go for lower than 120hz as we evolved long time ago from playing FPS games on 60Hz monitors. I don't really have much knowledge about colors so I can't advice on that. So to sum up, my recommendation is: 27", 1440p, 120hz minimum 1 1 2 Quote

The monitor I have now is just some random LG monitor my wife used to use for medical billing. Eventually I want to get a nice keyboard and mouse too, but thought a monitor would be a good place to start considering I can’t see shit on it. Great suggestions so far. 1 2 Quote
Platinum VIP -=HipKat=- Posted November 7, 2025 Platinum VIP Posted November 7, 2025 That price range is hard to get real quality, I think. This is my primary: LG 34WP65C-B UltraWide Computer Monitor 34-inch QHD (Weird that I can't post a link in here) 1 Quote
