Hi mates,

 

A forever needed suggestion regarding the flamethrower in Jay1 recruitment server; can it be buffed so that the damage is like 150% higher and the flame keeps hitting for a fair amount of time? I feel like the flamethrower is too nerfed and it's supposed to be a lethal heavy weapon. I used to kill 100+ with flamethrowers when they were properly buffed and given its dignity.

 

There're already two main nerfing factors to the flamethrower:

1- Damage is way lower than it's supposed to be

2- There is no adrenalin syringe; so to attack with it you have very limited stamina to sprint and jump around and have any kind of tactics (other than the boring standing in front of an open door waiting for the enemies!)

 

So at least please buff up the damage part, and the other stamina thingy can have some kinds of workarounds I guess.

I agree the flamethrower could use a little boost. It is not so much useful compared to Beg2 and NQ1.

 

Not sure its possible, ideally the range would be up 20% as well.

It's still strong if used correctly. You can't expect it to be strong when people run with it out in the open. It's very strong tool when it comes to clearing out tiny corridors and rooms in defending and attacking situations. On the other hand little buff won't hurt anyone as I don't think it will make a difference.

Well Elso, I guess it's still weak even in those situations, given that it's a little bit buggy and the flame doesn't hit for long time but rather a couple of seconds. Flame should kill with like 5 shots max not 20 to make barely any damage. Further more, it can and should be used in open fields, making up the absence of the adrenaline syringe, so at least it should be long ranged and cause more damage in such low-stamina slow situations.

Seems to have forgotten the flame keeps burning long after it's used on someone

Hi Hipkat, yes but for like 2 seconds or smth and it's glitchy.

What about having 2 or 3 flamethrowers per team and keep it as it is? that would make up some of the nerfed damage. Flame is supposed to be a heavy weapon!

Because, to people who don't use flame, it's annoying with only one. And you want 2 or 3????

I think the issue with buffing restricted weapons is that it will be a fight for who can use it. We already have the 3 map rule for Panzer, I don't want it for more heavy weapons ?

But this is part of the game, which really people forgot how fun it is. Same as panzer, it should be with rules I don't mind that.

Again, it's only fun for the people who use it. It's annoying to everyone else, and I don't just mean getting killed. As when a teammate is using it and blocking the ability to see enemies approaching, for example
