So I bought a Super Flower PSU a few months back.  I am just getting around to using it and it's too late to return it.  It is missing the 4 x 4 pin CPU connector.   You would think it would be easy to buy just the missing cable.   Well it isn't, this version uses a 9 pin din square style connector, most use a rectangle style.    So I went to Super Flower website, nope no way to order cables from them.  Go to reddit, everyone was like that is who makes EVGA PSU, nope couldn't match it to a EVGA PSU .  Then reddit said to go to Cablemod, went there, this is the only one they don't do.

My options so far appear to be;

1) Buy a lower wattage model supply which is 850W to save $30 to just grab the missing CPU connector

2) Buy the same 1000W model, to play it safe

3) Buy a different brand PSU out of spite, but then I still have an unusable brick

4) I did find a vendor on Alibaba, but people complained about poor assembly quality, hard pass

Option 1 & 2, the PSU comes with 2 sets of missing CPU cables so thinking I could just resell it locally at a discount and let them know just 1 cable, shouldn't be an issue for most.

What would you do?  I am leaning on doing #1.

It is nice to have a spare PSU around.  My 1kw unit with a 5-year guarantee went "plink" a few months after the warranty expired, and I had to go to a local Best Buy to get their highest-wattage unit, an 850w one.  I had better check the warranty on that one, now that I think of it.

Valid point, I might just keep it.  Two things I do poorly, selling things and claiming warranty repairs.
