Jay1, game crashes when server is on baserace

Hello!

 

Not too sure what info to specify here other than, i can play on jay1 perfectly fine, tried to connect right now, server on baserace but it keeps crashing, only when server is on baserace I have this issue?

Any ideas?

 

I've tried deleting my jaymod profile & my legacy profile, same issue persists 😄

maybe you have corrupted baserace.pk3 in your dlcache, try delete all baserace versions and redownload it again from server.

if not try manually downloading the pk3 and place it into your dlcache folder.

 

btw, do you see any error msgs when your game crashes?

Unfortunately the server already changed maps, and I stand corrected, it crashed on venice too, was totally fine yesterday though, so I've no clue what could've changed.

 

I see no error message, the loading bar in limbo on bottom right gets to the end, game crashes to desktop.

hmm , im assuming youre having hunkmegs issues

somehow jaymod crashes with any value higher than com_hunkmegs 128 ..

i had before com_hunkmegs 512 for trickjump purposes then found out i cannot join jaymod unless i had to lower to 128

check if you have com_hunkmegs 128 , if not set it

Well in an interesting turn of events I just restarted my pc, still crashed, I closed all other external apps (steam, EA etc) and it works fine now 😄 😄 Doubt one of the apps was causing the issue, guess it's just a weird anomaly, thanks anyway!

Yea sounds like a memory/resource allocation issue to me. How much RAM do you have installed on your system? Depending on how you have your system and permissions configured, it is possible for other programs/tasks to interfere
