Faithless Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Hi everyone, recently i upgraded my old monitor AOC 32" curved FHD 240Hz to a Samsung Odissey G5 32" curved 165Hz QHD 1440p and i noticed that when i open the game exe the game resolution opens and on a second half monitor, i mention that i've got two monitors, one 32" and second 46". I updated the command setting resolution in the executable file to "+r_mode "-1" +r_customwidth "2560" +r_customheight "1440" +cg_fov "115" +set com_hunkmegs "768" +vid_restart". If i decrease the customwidth and customheight to a lower resolution e.g 2460x1370 the game will fit to screen, but if i put the exact resolution the game it opens above full screen. I forgot to mention that even with my old monitor i had the issue but i fixed decreasing the custom width and height but i would like to play the game in the native resolution of the screen. Could you know how could i fix this issue? many thanks I attached a short video about my issue here on youtube: (the video is unlisted so only users which has the link can view it) Quote
Siwex89 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 try to add r_fullscreen 0 Or install ETLegacy and use r_mode 18 for 1440p resolution Quote
Faithless Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 Hi Siwex, i tried like you said i added r_fullscreen 0 to the console but still the same, i enabled adaptive sync from my monitor menu and now the game runs in fullscreen but it runs at 60fps... Quote

LarrY Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Hi there Faith! might be you're just missing the cvar seta r_customaspect 1 so first try , add it to the .exe properties (the run command) if no luck , i'd say use the ETLegacy client (but you can try with the old 2.60b), then put this in a config file: seta r_mode -1 seta r_customaspect 1 seta r_customwidth 2560 seta r_customheight 1440 seta r_aspectratio 1 seta r_fullscreen 1 vid_restart Remove the vid_restart from the .exe properties. Disconnect the 2nd monitor for a first run, start the game and run the config Quote

ZeroZeroDb Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I did some research... check out the NVIDIA guide; it might help you solve the problem. "To use additional displays in addition to the displays used for Surround" https://www.nvidia.com/content/Control-Panel-Help/vLatest/it-it/index.htm#t=mergedProjects%2Fnv3dITA%2FTo_use_additional_displays_besides_the_displays_used_for_Surround.htm Quote

I think the panel type (VA) and latency (1ms) are same for both monitors (might be wrong tho...) 1 1 Quote
