It is a nice idea, however lately bots have been causing some issues, so personally at this point, I wouldn't go changing the bot names to not make it more problematic than it is now.

Player names are part of user info string. We don't want bot long names so players can have little bit longer names. That's why we have picked short names. 

 

Another reason: Why we ask players to change their name when it's: "This is my test name and I can keep longer names"  -> Short names i.e. Alias is fine which also helps in scoreboard. One of the reason short clan tags are enforced in new COD games.

 

Also as Rendel and someone suggested: Everyone is familiar with bot names, so it helps.
