seta sensitivity "2.67" , Too much...try 1 or 1.2

seta m_yaw "0.015100" mmm i suggest to reduce it to 0.011
seta m_pitch "0.01501" i suggest to reduce it to 0.005

seta rate "35000", no need change it in beg2, coz is default 50000...in nq for example, you can increase to 45000

seta cl_maxpackets "60" i suggest to use 100

seta r_primitives "2" i suggest to use it 0, i think there are an explanation from FA Rambozo about that. ....i use 0 and it works perfect to Nvidia GPU

seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_customheight "1080" Holyshit, do not use so much resolution, try less, perhaps 1280 x 1024..it will work better

seta com_maxfps "250" about this...i suggest to use perhaps less fps...try with 200 fps or 160, i think it will work better

a lot of this is based off what you even have,

for the custom height and width. This purely depends on your monitor lol. I cannot use your suggestion, I use actually the same as what he listed. I use a 32” wide screen 4k monitor that’s more meant for movies to be honest.

sensitivity will be based off dpi. But I suggest setting dpi as high as you’re comfortable with. Then go in game. Put your mouse closest to center position as possible. Move all the way right, you should do a full 180 degree turn. So this way with a full motion you’re able to do a 360 degree turn. (Just a general rule of thumb really)

the pitch n yaw just play with til you get it low as possible before it’s TOO low. But other than that yeah I agree xD

Changing the m_pitch and yaw makes no sense xd better to set sensitivity lower depending on the DPI used.

In fact, with 1200 dpi I have to set sensitivity from 2.06 to 1.76. I have to try with 2400 dpi; my sensitivity will probably have to drop between 1.5 and 1.2 hoping for improvements.

If you are using 1.76/1200 DPI, then 0.88 is for 2400 😆, if you use default settings from m_pitch and yaw (0.0022). About rate, snaps and time nudge server forces this cvars, so you don't need to change anything here.

cl_maxpackets should be 100 if you use etlegacy version you can try set this to 125

Of course you have to play according to your monitor, I could play with much higher resolution too, but among other things, you encounter delays in response, lags and more things that can be many factors (GPU, RAM, etc.). If you reduce the resolution, you make the response speed you have (what your monitor, GPU, etc. can provide) easier to achieve for them.

It makes a lot of sense to me. You find the best pitch and yaw that suits you most (and you don't change it anymore). It's not rocket science to say that you lower the pitch and it's easier to get more headshots. And then you just change the DPI depending on where you play. For example, you can play with lower DPI in silent1, there is no double jump there and you can have your aim more solid. EJ: I play with 1950 DPI in beg2 and lower it a little (1850 dpi) in silent1.

Maybe everything is a reference, if you lower the pitch and yaw a little (and then calibrate it with the DPI), you will surely get better results.

changing the m_pitch or m_yaw will affect other games, this way you will be stuck with ET gaming style forever. free your mouse 😄

@ZeroZeroDb imo screen resolution, sensitivity and mouse settings in general cant be suggested by others, everyone has his own style. but i do believe the lower the sensitivity the better (more accurate for headshots 😄)

i suggest you to install ETLegacy and give it a shot, newer version of 2.6 with many improvements. download link https://www.etlegacy.com/download

make sure you download the 32bit, 64bit is problematic.

anyways, back to the subject, you should take 1 hour and understand what the commands you mentioned do, better for understanding the game and improving yourself.

if you want to keep 2.6b take a look at this link, all cvars explained there https://fearless-assassins.com/enemy-territory-cvars.html/

if you want to upgrade to etlegacy, i suggest you take a look at etlegacy docs which is basically same as the link i attached, check etl official docs https://etlegacy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/cvars.html

if you need any help send me pm here or in discord :)

@LarrY is a wizard with the configs. Drop him a pm in forums or discord. Sorry Larry 😂 i would suggest to not go higher than 800 dpi on mouse, just increase sensitivity in game.

As you can see I am using the latest 32bit ETL version.
I took into account the fact that the 64 bit version does not work with all Mods.

I can try to do a clean install of ETL 2.82.1 but would my GuIDs change?

so guids basically are like a key/password stored in your ET folder which can be found at the following paths :

W:ET guid: C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain - etkey

Silent guid: C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\silent - silent.dat

copy those files (from your old et installation) and paste them into your ETLegacy folder:

C:\Users\???\Documents\ETLegacy\etmain - paste here your etkey

C:\Users\???\Documents\ETLegacy\silent - paste here silent.dat

ps: i would keep copy of those files somewhere else, USB or harddrive or even cloud drive, which suits u best

as for other mods its the same, only etkey goes to etmain folder.

👆 if you have legacy installed and are using onedrive (can't find files in c:/users/<username>/documents/etlegacy etc), check the onedrive then.
