fps drop

Recommended Posts

Hello, my in-game nickname is !SHC!Freak, I play on jay1

Lately, I have an FPS drop, ranging from 40 ~ 144 (com_maxfps).

Lagometer shows yellow peaks. I haven't changed anything in my cfg in the last few months.
My drivers are up to date.
I'm using ET Legacy 2.80.2
\gfxinfo shows that I'm using my main vga

It seems to me that it started (or got worse) after updating windows 11 (Pro, version 22H2)

My laptop is an Acer Predator, not high end but...

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz - 32Gb RAM - RTX 2060

My computer seems to work fine overall, but on ET 🥺

Almost impossible to play, the image seems to flicker and freeze

I uploaded my cfg, if it helps

Any ideas?

It can be many factors.
If you have everything right in the ET cfg, you have to look at the nvidia cfg, it is very important. What screen do you use? I recommend that you do not exceed what your screen gives you:
example: if you have screen with 165hz , use up to com_maxfps 160
Here I have left my nvidia cfg to another player (page 3:

I have noticed that even the thermal paste can overheat your processor (your core i7) and that significantly alters the fps when you play. Here I leave a video so that everyone can change this from time to time, so they don't have this problem.

Here a great app for check temperature of your pc (proccesor, GPU, rpm of the fans)

Just to give an update, it didn't work.

It seems that my processor is heating up, maybe that's the problem.

Although it doesn't make much sense for a game like ET to push the processor (i7 10750H) to the limit.

Still investigating
