My second thought, (the first being 'delight') is "how will this capability affect news-reporting around the world?"

 

They used to say, "seeing is believing", but I suspect that was in the days before any forms of photography.

 

Newscasters in the USA have been easily "fooled" by edited YouTube videos, if they seem to correspond with their own beliefs.

 

Newscasters themselves have often edited recordings 'for brevity' and left out important contextual clues as to the truth of the situations that they claim to be reporting on and going instead for the 'most dramatic' sequence.  They often end up with videos that are as simple and 'punchy' as slogans are and as emotionally enthralling. "Video Slogans".

 

(BTW, I thought that I had just invented the term, "Video Slogans", but Google says, "nyet, non, no, nie, negatory...."
