I am having lags could you help?

Hi there i recently re-downloaded ET and i am experiencing lags on just about every server my ping is around 80 that should not be the problem.

My System Information:

What I have changed were the hunkmegs and also have custom resolution 1920x1080.

ET Version is 2.60 b.

I run the game as administrator.

Do you have any idea what should i change in order to get rid of the lags?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

 

A usual help is to set r_primitives 2 if it's fps lag you're suffering. Try that first if it helps

 

And a quick look in your cfg, also rate should be as high as 50000.

Hello changed the rate to 50000 also as suggested changed the primitives to 2.Although at first my ping decreased to 30 then it suddenly got back to 70-80 and i am still lagging.Do you have any other suggestions?

Your pc should run fine as for the specs.

 

Another quick look at your cfg and maybe these help a bit:

 

com_maxfps 125 or higher and also cg_drawfps 1 and see if fps reamains stable

cl_maxpacket 100 <--- missed that, its a must

cg_lagometer 1 check this once it lags, lower line is your connection and should have steady green line, upper is servers line

cg_shadows 0

r_flares 0

r_fastsky 1

cg_showblood 0

cg_drawsun 0

Done all that.

1.As for the fps it remains a steady 125.

2.The problem might be related to connection although no idea why i play other Online games too such as League of Legends;Cs:GO and my ping is great and i am not experiencing any lags.The lagometer is partially green then suddenly changing to yellow this might be the cause of lagging.Any solution for this?

I believe you might have same lag as I had, sound lag. Just simply increase your soundmegs. You have currently 24megs which isn't even nearly enough.

 

I use com_soundmegs "160" myself. All of my lags just disappeared when I increased soundmegs.

/Edit:It seems like it improved a little bit though i still have lag spikes which are really annoying.

Just figured deleting my etconfig will cause me lose all my xp.
