We don't run server for few specific players and hence statistics are considered when removing maps.

 

Least played map will be always removed on Hardcore. 3-5 weeks is the max time least played map will stay.

 

More or less we also consider last_time played map. So if any map doesn't get played even one single time in last 4-5 days then it's but obvious players playing on server don't like it.

 

Mod stats + SL stats both are considered before removing map.

the statitics do not tell you which maps are liked and which are not. It shows you, what gets how many votes. Noone always votes his favourite map. Maybe you vote it, if there are no other votes in the last 5 secs. You forget its not a secret vote (and not even then!), so ppl see, what others have voted, so they vote the map they prefer instead of another. I do vote sometimes maps i do not like, only not to have to play another map (with atm more votes) that i really hate (or have played too much). How often did i vote oasis, only not to play hindenburg? How often did i start the voting with a famous map, when server was empty? And many more things like that....

I tend to notice that if people ask for others to vote for a map it is voted on. That's how karisah got voted in last time i played it. I asked ppl to vote it in for 3-4 maps straight and once ppl played it they liked it. Because it isnt a relatively known map for non-scrimmers, the more popular scrim maps are the usual maps played. So maps like supply, frost, adler, braun, deliv get a lot of votes from most of the more experienced players. The white namers tend to vote the stock maps + some maps they are used to like supply. That leaves karsiah and other less known maps standing there without being voted in, even though it may be getting a decent amount of votes.

Also, people, when faced with a new map, will almost never choose it, so if there is a way to force it to a newer map, instead of the randoms continually voting for adler, supply, delivery etc. etc., it would be better, because currently, it seems as if we're running on rotation

Only 3 times map played in last 5 days and hence removed. It's funny how other maps gets influenced by other peoples vote but not karsiah.

 

Fun fact was Karsiah received least amount of votes during the time map was on server. What's the point of keeping map on server while even pro players don't vote for it much and neither new players. I guess play it on your own server.
