Just got this new laptop with windows 7
I can play and there is no problem, only that the screen is not full size. It is not a problem that can be solved with ctrl + enter, it is something different. When I am playing it seems to be fullscreen but both in the right and left side of the screen it is black.
hope what i am saying makes any sense and if you know how to help plz let me know
Thanks

Click esc --> options --> system
Edit the resolution you want to play with and then just click apply.

r_fullscreen 1; r_mode -1; r_customheight 768; r_customwidth 1366; vid_restart
Obviously change the values of customheight and customwidth to your screen res..
If that solves it, add those values to your autoexec.cfg

(1/2) bump of an old topic but
I had the same problem and I was able to fix itby using the autoexec (=> fearless assassins menu)
does probably the same as commands but it's a lazy way ^^
