  1. I'm posting this in two different places. I love this laptop so far , it does preform well but haha I'm already considering helping it along a little more. It's great and if I played games on High or Medium settings it would run longer... It already runs smooth on Ultra, to Very High gaming settings. I can max most games out but I'd like to go longer.... or put less stress on my laptop. I can play Witcher 3 in highest quality basically most the day. But Rise of Tomb Raider, maxed out... I can only play for a few hours... That's fine, I enjoy my PC but I'd like for it to be a little less stressed out. This is the modern age, you can easily modify , boost laptops now. I'd like to either update my graphics card if possible or use an Alien ware Graphics amplifier. If I can't make updates to my laptop... Can I? Then what card should I get for the amplifier? I'm happy with my laptop, as far as laptiops go it really does preform well. I have everything maxed out, so there is stress over time , where I can no longer play games in there highest quality without lagging, stressing my PC. So I see two options, upgrade periodically or get the alien ware graphics amplifier. Both seem valid to me. I'm told that with an Alien ware Graphics amplifier you increase the life of a laptop and it's upgrades, performance. I'm willing to put in the money for the amplifier. Thanks... I'm also willing to upgrade my laptop if upgrades are possible without buying a new laptop or major internal components. I know that PC gaming is an expensive hobby, but as a Graphic Designer, artist... I've realized just how much I love Graphics playing these two games in their maximum settings. I love CGI... I never realized how much before. It's my thing, the thing I spend money on. Yes, it's expensive but it's not like I'm spending 1000s of dollars. The PC cost about 1000, that's the first payment... the rest I'd plan on spending a few 100 here and there, nothing to really break the bank... just something I spend money on... "my thing..." 3. I am not only able to play Witcher 3 on ultra quality... But, I also was able to play the game while running Adobe After Effects, rendering a 118 GB video project. It's not a bad machine, especially for a laptop. I'm impressed with it. Given that, it doesn't really improve my ET game any. I want to copy over my ET install onto it, when I find my external drive.
  4. I play Jay 2. It's my favorite. I like jaymod. I have the hit boxes feeled out, and so on. My impression is there's cocky players on jaymod who don't have alot of experience with anti rush servers. They are mostly there to win, they are objective driven and don't respect the rules. I kind of get that because I'm an obj driven player myself mostly. But, rules are rules... If they don't like them they can look for other servers, if they can find any decent ones... There's many players on jaymod that just care about winning. To be honest I'm sort of like that, not that I don't have fun with ET and think it's a blast but I'm driven to try to win. I'm a team player but also obj based. If I'm a medic and have the obj on gold rush and we're getting spanked and I'm taking fire and running for the truck and there's a guy screaming I need a medic... I'd probably go for the truck to be honest. That's coming from some one who in most situations feels that you have to revive and heal your team first. Oh, you're rebel. Yeah, I've seen you play. I am... I'm Noob
  5. There's a few players who do this.... definitely some who have been told not to, some who should know better....
  6. Man I don't know anything about any that. That's all above my level my friend.
  7. This is what I bought. If not for ET then I have two computers now. A macbook and a laptop that I probably won't use often unless I want to play video games. http://www.ebay.com/itm/152023310714?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  8. Well I bought one I'm trusting the girl, but I have always believed that laptops weren't meant for gaming, but I've retired using big clunky PCS even if they make better gaming rigs. Hopefully I get something out of my investment. It was only about 2-3 weeks of work so it's not that much money. And yes... I've been thinking the entire time that I will save my config and run ET with the shittiest settings possible. I agree with both posters, with as little as I know about gaming. I figure this will help improve my gaming experience regardless, even if it's not the best, ideal choice. I figure it's still a pretty decent computer.
  9. I have about 900 dollars to spend so far, I'm willing to wait and spend more for a good laptop. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-7559-Intel-Quad-Core-i7-6700HQ-4K-UHD-Touch-4GB-GTX-960M-8GB-1TB-Hybrid-/322198835448?hash=item4b048c10f8:g:IrYAAOSw5IJWd3Ka Is this one good for my buck? I'd be willing to spend more... but I'm also sort of excited to buy one now. I know some people will always have state of the art , but will this be enough to keep up with most gamers that play ET and to play any newer title I wish? Thanks I can also afford something like this... http://www.ebay.com/itm/DELL-Inspiron-15-7000-i7559-Gaming-Laptop-i7-6700HQ-8GB-1TB-SSHD-GTX-960M-1080p/152023310714?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D888007%26algo%3DDISC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D38618%26meid%3D8e6b8e01659f4b47bc4d9667eb8c1093%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D322198835448 But I have no idea what I'm looking at...
  10. I guess I'm not very aware of these things. But you're using bootcamp? I would have thought that you could play any of them on bootcamp.
  11. Oh, and I might record a video of me playing. Just to give people an idea. I'm pretty decent at head shot, I'll just say that. I know when to crouch, but I do jump some times, I do run away some times... I don't think I'm a terrible player honestly. Having played on the server a little while with some pretty decent players, I'm not awful I don't think. I do have my on and off days though. I had to change my name to ^I'm Noob because lots of people were taking the name. I guess a lot of people out there feel as much as a noob as I have. I still get pretty smacked around by some players, and I'm not the greatest by any means... but I'm ok. I've decided that. On some days I am indeed terrible...
  12. That is the weirdest thing I've seen yet.
  13. Yeah sure, I could do that. I'm on and off you know? My game is very inconsistent I'm thinking about buying anew gaming laptop, that may seem a bit of an oxymoron. I know laptops have come a long way. I'm not a gaming elitist but I think I might upgrade my computer... I'm going through some personal shit, and I might as well spend some money on something that makes me happier. I'm wondering how much I should put down on a new laptop for ET, and just newer games... I know it's very hard to stay ahead of the curb, but I have like a computer from 2008 or 6 and I was still playing pretty new games on it, lowest settings of course... I know you don't need an amazing computer to run ET but it sure helps keep up a little with some of the gamers. I know some guys always have state of the art equipment and I've done alot of config changes that helped me abit... and I'm connected to the internet via cable.. but given myc urrent situation and that I make enough for a new computer... but not enough to really live... haha... I can buy a new one. I'm thinking it will help to have newer equipment if not just for ET to play newer games for a few years... and stay ahead a little bit better in ET for a little while... I know guys are always buying newer shit, but my computer is pretty old now, I'd like to atleast be technically speaking only a little behind for a few years. I'd like to be current, sort of current for a while. I'm not looking to drop serious money but I can afford I think a reasonable, decent computer soon. I currently have like around 900 dollars to spend on one... I've glanced at Ebay, I could afford a few "gaming laptops" but I have no idea what I'm buying... I know on some days I do alright, anyways... but it would be nice to own a new computer, so that for a while I can buy new games and for a few years still enjoy them. In 8 or so years... I'll be like 30 something years old anyways...and that's a long time a way, I hope...
  14. I agree I really enjoyed the game play, quickness of OLD Blood and New Order, it felt true to wolfenstien to me.
  15. You know what when I don't think I do better some times. I got murdered , slaughtered today. I got a new job. My goals right now are a new apartment, and a new laptop.
