ET Server Suggestion ...testing new maps & i need your help!

HI!

 

....so you all want new maps and dunno which one are good?

 

let's make a testing night! with teamspeak (or is it called discord now - still confused about that)

 

i thought we could test some maps, we never played so far, which could be also a new experience, a funny night with some Members & Friends again.

and it's possible to join their testserver with 7 people. This may also help to convince other people from maps you really like =)

 

the reason for testing is, that DD said

 

 

"Let me know list and I will upload all those maps. Just make sure, you give me good list because I wouldn't test anything once you give me green light. Any server crash, map script issues, all on you. Just need help so counting on your experience. I am expecting all balanced with very less spawn choke points so both teams can enjoy and no team gets sabotage, making server empty."

 

so our task is, to find:

 

1. big maps (with bot waypoints) - beginners / Silent1

2. nice frag maps (with bot waypoints) - hardcore

3. fun / big maps (with bot waypoints) - jaymod

 

 

so pls vote on which day you could attend. Since im not home upcoming weekend, i suggested dates for next one.

Just a suggestion. For HC and Silent1 I recommend focusing on maps that are objective. A fun objective map where both teams have a fairly chance to win, will increase the joy of palying. We already have maps that goes more into fragging where rhe objective will be completed as a cinsequence of fragging. With only frag focus map, it will be boring in the long run.

YES, this sounds like so much fun. This is a great way to get more good maps in the servers on a more active base. Just get our heads together, think about chokepoints, the flow of the obj etc.

Can we test removing baserace? And I don't think the original Goldrush really needs testing, it just needs to replace TE on Silent 1.

 

There's a few maps I remember from way back in the day that were cool but to be honest I don't remember the names of any of them. But I'm definitely down to test out some new maps. As of now I think I'd be available any of those days.

 

And Discord is relatively new program. It's basically like Skype and Teamspeak combined. We have a channel for F|A already. I recommend it.

new maps, i saw some nice 1944_* maps and i remember some desert map with pharao but i dont know name anymore. i loved it (silent)
