My pc parts came 4 days ago and I was struggling to get my SSD and HDD to work together and i finaly made it

so I thought why not post my build here. This is little bit overkill for my needs but I had money to burn so why not.

PSU: Silverstone Strider plus 600w

MoBo: Sabertooth 990FX/GEN3 R2.0

RAM: Corsair Dominator platinum 2x8gb

CPU: AMD FX 8-core processor Black edition

GPU: ASUS HD 7950 DirectCU II TOP

SSD: Samsung 840 120gb

HDD: Seagate 1tb

And also i bought Windows 8 and Corsair K70 keyboard.

Nice PC. I´m wondering if its 6100 or 8120(or whatever the nrs were:P) CPU? SSD gives nice short start up times on windows:) So only OS + most needed progs on SSD and its already full, all other stuff as backup on different partitions on HD.(at least how its done for me)

CPU is about 125W TDP, graphics is roughly 250W, from MOBO another 100W all together 500W, so roughly it should suffice. Only when adding another graphics in Crossfire then it would be not enough. Also you have to consider if the specific voltages have enough amperage throughput: for ex. when PC Express auxiliary connector(graphics 6-Pin connector) has 12V then on PSU it should give max output in Ampers: N=IU (W). So if it shows on 12V on PSU 20A: N=20*12=440W. Also MOBO works on 12V so you have to count this also in.

Usually the cheaper\lower power PSU-s have less power throughput for each lane and with less efficiency PSU more energy is wasted as heat.

Those are rough estimations on top of my head.
