After helping someone from the forum with this problem, I thought it would be a good idea to make a tutorial for those who get stuck in the future.

This downgrade will allow you to get to whatever version you like, all the way down to the betas & 1.0.0.

Step 1: Go to this website and download the following link.

Step 2: Download this file to your desktop, and extract it to a new folder.

Step 3: Run the MCNostalgia2.1.2.exe

Step 4: When the black command box appears, hit enter.

Image is same as the above.

Step 5: You'll see a big list appear, what you want to do is read the list. It'll have lots of different number like 1.3.2 etc.

The numbers mean what patch it is, read the numbers and when you find which patch you want, there is 2 digit number to the left of it.

Step 6: Once you have seen the 2 digit number, type it in and click enter. Then it will automatically patch your Minecraft to that patch.

For 1.2.3 the number will be 89.

This works for Mac aswell as Windows.

I hope this guide helps you all.

I didn't know whether to post it there or not. But I'm sure it'll be moved by staff. ^^
