Strange thing with Oasis

I have this strange thing with Oasis map,in Jaymod&NQ everything what's close is foggy,in ETpub&Silent everything is clear.

What could be the problem and how can it be fixed?

More then likely some cvars that only work in one or the other mod which alter the way textures look. Sometimes its best just to use a different config for each mod although i've never seen the point.

you could compare your jaymod config with your silent one, but that effect is really weird, I don't know if there is actually a variable for that, even if I wanted to get that effect myself I would be clueless now... and in theory mods shouldn't affect r_ cvars or anything texture-related, since they are part of the game engine.

 

it could also be that you have some weird setting that it's being forced within a certain range only on silent/etpub but it's 'allowed' on jay/nq servers.

 

does it happen only on oasis? What about other maps with fog like radar? It looks like a sort of close range fog...

 

in my config I have these cvars with the word fog:

seta r_ext_nv_fog_dist 0

seta r_nv_fogdist_mode "GL_EYE_RADIAL_NV" unsafe

 

you could give it a try, even if I doubt it will solve your issue
