Lets revive some forgotten pictures from a different time.

While cleaning up the place i found some old pictures back.

The guy in the middle on 2 of the pictures is my great grand father in ww1

A bad time for Belguim.  :(

 

Check out the grenade-launcher in the first pic. 

 

Wikipedia says that Belgium used the "Mills-bomb" style of grenade, which meant that they had to insert the 'nade into the barrel attachment, pull the pin and then fire a blank cartridge to make it fly.  Actually, some rifle-nade launchers in that period could use a regular cartridge with a bullet.

Ooh, ooh!  It looks like somebody let the spoon go on the far-right 'nade and then put the pin back in!  That would not save you from being "hoist on your own petard!". :(
