This will be my 2nd complete build that I've done. The first one I did back in 2008-2009 after graduating high school (yes I'm getting old ). A friend who has been into PC's a long time helped pick out the parts and helped me put it together. Back in 2016 I did a semi new build. I think I bought new case, gpu, hard drives, monitors and maybe psu. The other parts were bought 2nd hand from my friend who was building a new pc so we just kinda threw his ram, mobo, and cpu in there. Recently my gpu died. (MSI R9 390). This got me really considering a new build since I didn't build a whole new pc back in 2016. Welp... that's exactly what I have started to do. I'm excited because this time around I have been doing the research myself on what all is out there and figuring out what will work best for me. I've been taking it slow because I'm not really in a rush, but also because I picked the worst time to build a pc. Due to COVID-19 pc parts have been flying off the shelves so it sucks I decided to pick this time to build one. I probably started the build off wrong because I did not set a budget lol. Even though I did not have a budget in mind I was not going to be buying top of the line stuff. I was going to pick up parts that were good quality and can last me a long time without paying top dollar. I've attached a picture of everything I have purchased so far. I'm off to a solid start. I've purchased some important and hard to find pieces already and I'm able to use my gpu in my current pc. I have a little buyers remorse on the nvme ssd since I wasn't trying to buy top of the line, but my Samsung attachment got the best of me. My plan is to finish it off with probably a B550 board, a pcie gen 4 nvme, and some 3600 cl16 ram. My biggest struggle at the moment is deciding on a case! Feel free to comment with suggestions. I'd be interested to hear peoples thoughts on x570 vs B550 and case preferences. I'll be updating this topic as I go. Hope over the next few months I will have everything purchased. *knocks on wood*

Hey there. I know some of ya heard that I might be getting a new PC, and by the time I get it going, I might consider rejoining FA. All in due time. I don't want to rush it right now because Money and RL Issues and all. Anyhow, I have made a list of PC Parts to build myself a PC. I figured it will be cheaper and easier to do it that way then to buy a PreBuilt one, However I did like a few that I looked at. What I'm really looking for a PC is.. Something that can run most modern PC Games out there nowadays. I have missed out on some pretty neat PC Games over the years. I really want to get into PC Gaming more, since I have became a Console Peasant. (PS4 mostly) I also do plan on Streaming more on Twitch, mostly PC Stuff. The only thing that's really keeping me from streaming from my ps4 all the time is that my net gets capped at 250 GB per month, because my ISP wants to cap bandwidth for whateva reason. There is another ISP around here, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out if they do provide more speed, but they have no data caps. Anyhow, here is my list... This is a budget build btw. No rush but I feel like you guys can help me out on this. This laptop is old, the processor is not even supported by Intel. That should tell ya how old this laptop really is. I bought it from Wal-Mart back in 2014 I think. It was only $600 bucks. So yea. I already have a Headset so I don't need to worry about that. Hey guys! So, at long last, I have finally finished building my first pc. Yes, this is the first pc i have built myself, without asking someone's help I had the option of having a qualified technician to build this for me but I opted not to because I want to personally experience the joy & fun from doing it myself. Of course I did my homework, watched lots of tutorials & videos (thank you Youtube) & planned all components, making sure everything is compatible & most importantly, within my budget as I only have around $700-800 to spend. So specs are: Bitfenix Phenom mini itx Intel i5 4570 Quadcore 3.20-3.60 Ghz Gigabyte Z87n-Wifi G.Skill Ripjaw X 8gb (4gbx2) 1600 cl9 WD Black 640gb 7200rpm 64mb Seasonic S12II 520w Microsoft Windows 8.1 pro 64bit Extra 230mm fan Bitfenix Spectre Pro Blue led (aside from the 2x120mm stock fans) This build has no gpu yet, still can't decide if I should get GTX 650 Ti Boost SC or GTX 760 planned upgrade: SSD, replace stock cooler with aftermarket one, add 1 more top fan, & yes, the gpu ofc. Pictures! ( I know, I need a bigger table )
