At moment its still free on house in Origin. Not a race games fan, but once in a while its fun to arcade some maps. Welp in this case one map, and it is really big. Have played it like for 4h and some places are still undiscovered, lots of fences needs to be driven over... I´ve yet to won any race as every time I´m starting in last place and even after many reruns and almost clean drive(no major crashes, just some lamp posts get in the way) the best I´ve done is past 2 cars. Totally evades me how to beat this game as I remember last times in Colin Mcrae rally where I could get at least some wins. Anyways the game looks beautiful with all the lightning effects turned on, so for me even just to speed along the highways is fun with controller.

The new Need for Speed couldn't charge you for post-launch DLC even if developer Ghost Games wanted it to, creative director Craig Sullivan recently told Vice. The game, which launches later this week, will give its post-launch content to players for free because, according to Sullivan, "that's what players deserve." "I've seen the plans for what's going to happen over the next few weeks and months – there's nothing in there, by which I mean, we don't even have the ability to charge you in the game. There's no store to speak of," Sullivan said. "Everything we're doing is focusing on listening to what the fans are asking for. They're certainly not saying to us, 'Can you build a load of stuff and charge us for it?'" Sullivan said he understands if you're skeptical - if you think that plans will change down the line. But he stood firm against the idea of plans changing. "It's not going to," he said "The plan is that there are no transactions in this game." The co-founder of Witcher 3 development studio CD Projekt RED said in August that he hoped his studio's policy of releasing free DLC would become an "industry standard." With free costumes heading to Assassin's Creed Syndicate (even if the game still has plenty of other paid DLC) and Need for Speed's unequivocal denial of plans for paid content, it certainly seems like the beginning of a trend. Need for Speed developer Ghost Games has announced the PC version of year's entry in EA's racing series will be delayed. Instead of launching alongside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions on November 3 in North America and November 5 worldwide, Need for Speed on PC will be available in "Spring 2016." According to Ghost Games, the extra time was necessary to "increase the visuals that we can deliver on PC." "We will also include content updates that will have been released on console up to that time, making them available to all PC players from day one," it explained in a statement. The studio also cited the desire to implement an unlocked frame rate as a key. "At Ghost, we're united by one common passion... to deliver the best Need for Speed experience possible. And at every step of the development process we're guided by our community. "Part of the conversation includes hearing from our PC community that an unlocked frame rate in Need for Speed is a massive priority for you, and we fully agree. To deliver this, we’ve made the decision to move the PC release date to Spring 2016." Ghost Games also announced it is planning on "undertaking a closed beta on PS4 and Xbox One in the coming weeks to help us test our server infrastructure to help prepare for launch." At Gamescom, EA released a new trailer for Need for Speed that highlights how it will blend gameplay with live-action. Its developer has explained why the new Need for Speed will require an Internet connection and says fans can expect a good amount of post-launch DLC. The developer has also released a new "five ways to play" video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW4gnx7bHQ0 Source http://www.gamespot.com/
