Several users have reported a serious game-breaking bug in Bethesda's open-world role-playing game, Fallout 4. As detailed on the Bethesda forums, the bug in question concerns a settlement quest which requires players to head to Mosignor Plaza. Upon attempting to travel there, several players have encountered a game crash straight to the desktop, without an error message. The bug has reportedly affected users on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. While there have been numerous reports of glitches in the game surfacing online, not many of them have been game-breaking. In fact, some can be used to the player's advantage. Fallout 4 launched on November 10 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The game shipped 12 million copies in a single day, breaking records across brick and mortar stores, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and PC. Last week Bethesda finally announced the hotly anticipated Fallout 4. The game's official website only listed an Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions, but just in case there was any confusion, the developer yesterday confirmed that there's no chance the game is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. "It is not coming to 360 and PS3, the stuff we’re doing will never work there," Bethesda's global community manager Matt Grandstaff said in a NeoGAF thread. A shame if you don't already own one of the new consoles, but probably a better choice for the game overall, as it's now only limited by the power of the PS4 and Xbox One. As previously indicated, Fallout 4 will take place in Boston. During the trailer we are briefly shown an area called "Scollay Square," which is located in real-world Boston. The USS Constitution, which is docked in the city, Bunker Hill Monument, and the Massachusetts State House are also seen in the video. Bethesda is expected to show more of Fallout 4 at its E3 press briefing in Los Angeles on June 14. Bethesda will make some kind of Fallout-related announcement tomorrow, the publisher announced today through a teaser website. A clock on the page is counting down to 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT on June 3. A line from the website's source contains a reference to Fallout 3's Masterbrain: "PA system failure has occurred. Shutdown of the Masterbrain has been authorized and all sensitive materials have been removed for security purposes," reads the line. "Please attempt re-access. Have a pleasant day." Fallout 4, which is reportedly set in and around Boston, has been rumored for years. The word "Institute," supposedly the game's codename, is also referenced in the teaser page's source code. Bethesda will hold its first-ever E3 briefing later this month in Los Angeles. The show is set for the evening of Sunday, June 14.
