Back in the early 2000s I used to play a MUD called Nightmist. You had to roll a team of characters who were then your traveling party on all sorts of quests. Rolling a high stat player was something you would try and do in between playing in game. Grebfar was one of my many characters names. No rhyme or reason to it. At the time I went by a different Nick online and continued to do so for many years. It wasn't until much later in the 2000s that I decided to change my main online Nick. I had spent many years on Nightmist as grebfar so I went with that. And it's stuck with me so far!

so much for that beautiful summer weather! An extraordinary ride from Pogacar yesterday sees him take more than a 5 minute lead over most of his rivals. Last year's TDF winner has shown that he is again the man to beat this year, and barring disaster I think it is highly likely that Pogacar will ride the rest of the race wearing the yellow jersey. Carapaz was the only man who could go with Pogacars attack yesterday but he couldn't stay the distance. It really doesn't look like there are any other challengers this year! Stage 9 ends in Tignes today, although it looks like it's going to be a wet one again! In overnight news Primoz Roglic has announced that he will not be starting Stage 9.

Any cycling fans in here? Here we are in the midst of another Tour de France. And if you are a cycling tragic like me then that means for the next few weeks there will be hours spent watching the beautiful French countryside go by. And sometimes they even show some guys on bikes having a race! Although ostensibly a sports race, I've always viewed the Tour de France as something of a travel program. Especially as a non-European. So where are we traveling to this year? Well take a look at the Tour de France 2021 route to find out! Today is Stage 8 which marks the first of the mountain stages and the Tour's entry in the Alps region. Stage 8 Profile Yesterday saw a shakeup in the GC standings as Dutch/Belgian darlings Van der Poel and Van Aert had a big win from the breakaway, putting several minutes into last year's winner Tadej Pogacar. Richard Carapaz also showed that he fancies himself the leader of Ineos this year, and with Roglic being injured early on in the race I expect Carapaz to be one of the few who have the ability to attack Pogacar through the mountains. Let's see who has the legs today as we hit the first of the big stuff!

I mess around in Ableton Live too. There are so many tutorials available online it's not too hard to pick up the basics. Mastering music production is a whole other thing though, but that goes for mastering anything!

I've lost count of how many I've had. Unfortunate fact of life depending on what part of the world you are in!

its taken me about a year to work up to posting here so i figured i should strike while the iron is hot!

Hi there, I am grebfar or greb for short. Mid 30's and originally from Australia, I have been working in West Africa for the last ~7 years. During lockdown last year I found myself stuck in this obscure part of the world for an indefinite period after the airports were all closed. Looking for something to pass the time aside from existential dread, I went back to one of the all time classic games in WolfET. Which is how I found =F|A=. Thanks for the work you guys do in supporting this game after so many years! I work as an Engineer on a rotation that sees me in country for 10 weeks followed by 3 weeks break, which means I get roughly 12 weeks vacation each year. Having so much personal time available has allowed me to do many exciting things in my life; climb Kilimanjaro, hike the W trek in Torres del Paine, road trip all over the place including from Saariselka to Helsinki (hi B#2 admins!), cycle through Vietnam, take the Shinkansens all around Japan. I guess I lead an atypical life. No kids but married for many years and my wife is my partner in crime in traveling all over the place. I had a break from gaming for many years while work and life took priority, but my all time favourites besides WolfET would have to be SimGolf, Transport Tycoon Deluxe and Rollercoaster Tycoon. I'm not typically an FPS player and play WolfET as an obj runner rather than a K/D obsessive. After idling in discord for about a year I figured I might make an effort on the forums and say g'day!

Better late than never, but I've been playing on Beginners #2 all this time with no issues. I logged back onto the Jaymod server today and played for a while and did not get the kick notice. So confirmed, all good! Thanks.

wow i wasnt expecting so many responses.. so i got kicked from the jaymod server. i tried to respond on server but it wouldnt let me PM. but yeah, i had accidentally joined the jaymod server it seems as i have been playing on beginners #2 and have had no issues there. well, no issues other than my undesirable ping. my work site is in west africa soooo that is why my ping is terrible. i am crossing the atlantic twice! africa -> houston -> europe i have had a chat to one of the admins in game on beginners #2 about this and it seems there is no issue for me to continue playing there. tracert results below for your interest, identifying info removed
