I’m not a big fan of poems, so I don't know many, but I meant that usually they use words we don't use on daily life. I speak brazilian portuguese, my native language, and the portuguese  words used on poems and law court are from latin origin  sometimes :)

A dificuldade que creio que as pessoas que não os portugueses/brasileiros encontram, é que uma mesma palavra pode ter vários significados, daí serem de dificil tradução. Comparando o Portugues Pt e o Portugues Brasileiro, voces utilizam muito o verbo na 3a pessoa, enquanto que nós aqui não :P

Muito bom, gostei da parte em diz que temos que aprender todos sons do idioma para endender o idioms falado. Isso faz sentido,  pois para falar é preciso ouvir antes, vi isso em um dos vídeos do Ted Talks sobre aprendizagem de línguas :)
