*Sypher*
Alright, so when I started up my PC I got the following message: (I tried to translate it into English) The file in the folder C:\$MFT is damaged or unreadable. Use the supportingprogram CHKDSK. What the hell does this means? My PC crashed about 2 years ago and I don't want to have the same again... Saizou
Never experienced this problem, but try googling C:\$MFT, I did and quite a few topics showed up about this. Just to be on a safe side better back up your etkey.
AcidParadox
Chkdsk is the check disk function i think you should install a windows repair console and then it ask you for the location of the windows and press 1 and ENTER then the console will appear and all you have to do is type : CHKDSK /R
*Sypher*
Alright, so there is some serious damage to my PC? EDIT: So I should make a back-up as soon as possible and run a scan on it? (I read at the forum that such an error doesn't mean my hardware failed, but some software can also let such things occur. Start with check disk, from command prompt it is actually chkdsk /f If that doesn't help, try a system restore. Let us know.

Just running a single program and it was gone, never had the problem anymore after that.
