Its a shame the new game had to die out so quickly, with that being said I would figure that ET would have made some sort of come back considering most people left when the new game came out. I've heard nothing but awful reviews about the game yet it still seems like the ET scene is still a little dry.

Well, ET was officially released in 2003. It's not doing that bad, especially when you compare it to most other games that have been around that long. ;)

ET will make a huge comeback when those $35 laptops hit India.

Imagine 100 million new players wanting a free FPS game they can play on Linux.

Omg 35 $ laptops!

Im gonna get my hands on that first!

I dont think it will play ET at sufficient fps. But still it will be worth a try.

ET is still popular ,even though it has been 7 years since the game launched.

Reasons:

-Even Pentium 3 can play that game.

-Antilag

-Different Classes and their special abilities.

-You get chance to shoot back if ur being shot in back

-Lots of fun servers

-Various weapons like Snipers, panza, Arty, mortar, SMGg, pistols etc.

lollololol there is no way there will be a 35 dollar laptop. its too cheap, companies wont be able to justify the price. inflation is uber high at the moment.

and a majority of households in metro cities have atleast 1 computer. I have 3 laptops and one desktop. Its simply that teenage crowd does not have time to play games with all the competition in the education system.

We should force all the IT (information technology) companies here to have compulsory 1 hour ET per person per day. That would get the players up in no time :lol
