Hi all,

Since I've never played Counter Strike before and I am subtitling a program about a Counter Strike team, I might need some help making sense of the things they yell at each other while gaming.

For instance

Stairs blind.

-Stairs is dead, one's jungle.

If anyone can help me out, that'd be great. If I run into more terminology, I'll keep posting here.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,

Retro

i can help if you want :)

the terminology you used here contains information on the game related to position and situation.

Stairs blind -> enemy player on stairs (location on a map) blind (player is blinded by a flashbang)

follow-up would be quite logical in that sense that the player on stairs was killed, and another player was spotted to be in jungle.

From the callouts im going to quickly assume the map is mirage, this might be a usefull image to illustrate the callouts.

Played plenty so I can help where you need it. Everyone kind of uses different call outs so its not always easy to understand.

For example on overpass there 'water' which can actually mean 3 places depending on who you play with, some call them long, water (site), and construction. But some others call construction 'short' which is confusing because theres A short as well which some people call banana.... oh and 'toxic' on cache is also pretty interesting
