you have to look good on the Video card manufacturer and model, and download the latest drivers

clears the etconfig in etmain, re-open the game, the game creates a new et config default, open it and look r_lastValidRenderer
if it recognizes your card shows the name

I for example I have this Silk

r_lastValidRenderer "GeForce 8400M GS / PCIe / SSE2"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

this is done, attach your newly created default etconfig
and I when I have time I'll make a cfg
But to understand the performance of your laptop
if you can you should do a timedemos with the graphics resolution you want to use

ET open, load the desired mod
open the console and write
timedemos 1
press enter
write
demo namedemo
press enter

if your laptop is not powerful
you can not play with all the details to the maximum
and cfg you have to prepare it so that in all maps
get your fps stable and not less than 43

for the monitor, the refresh rate, you look in the graphics options of the video card
if you write detailed the name and model of your laptop
you can find the technical details, and understand what video card you have
and the maximum resolution of the monitor with its frequencies

Choose the model + Operating system that your using http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Notebook-Graphics-Drivers.aspx

quadcore processor will be okay with just about any configuration as long as the graphics is set according to your feel being integrated with no video card will limit fps just turn cg_drawfps 1 on and keep testing till your okay with it.

while in game open console after your okay with the settings type /writeconfig andnameofcfg like this /writeconfig my.cfg next time your on and it doesn't feel write just /exec my.cfg presto no need to delete it everytime.

if it bugs and doesn't change you can reset et while in game write this line /cvar_restart;exec my.cfg;vid_restart and presto no file surfing

for more advanced option after you created a cfg you can create a et.exe shortcut on the desktop open properties and set target like so with a space on the end after the last " on the target.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory" +r_customwidth "1600" +r_customheight "900" +set r_mode "-1" +exec my.cfg +vid_restart

Now you have your own custom config and no need to ask again.

Have fun :)
