schNee Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 ...hey dont blame my aim but I've uploaded my latest demo. http://www.filedropper.com/2016-09-18-165639-supplydepot2 i have massive lags since 2 days. ping seems to be normal, just goes up when i got connection interrupted. so if i don't heal or react, i just can't my connection seems fine, im on wifi but never had issues so far. i've made speedtest part of my cfg: seta snaps „20" seta rate „25000" seta cl_maxpackets „100“ seta com_maxfps „76“ seta com_hunkMegs „256" seta r_displayRefresh "60" seta com_zoneMegs "512" thanks for ur help. ill owe u a cookie! edit: i have fps changer, can i add maxpackets change to the cmd? cause afaik it belongs together. Ann!b@l Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 (edited) seta com_zoneMegs "512" use 24/32/48/64 nothing else schNee. 512 is way too high especially since your hunkmegs is by far lower. tip: add it in your shortcut of game it's even better: for exemple: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\et.exe" +set com_hunkmegs 256 +set com_soundmegs 32 +set com_zonemegs 32 once done, launch your game and on server re-apply each setting in your console and then \vid_restart. Ann!b@l Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 (edited) just tried if its changes anything, have it on 64 usually but its not the lag issue then if ever you had to change something start by increasing 1st hunkmegs.. on 512 for exemple.. then you can increase zonemegs but same here 64 max.. and why not soundmegs too on 64. if not properly set, RAM allocated can affect your game and causes fps drops\lags Edited September 18, 2016 by Ann!b@l Quote

Ann!b@l Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) I see in your other thread you still encounter lags mouse issues. Just to be sure it's not related, try to fix it with this software if you never did yet: http://smoothmouse.com/ also, check the bluetooth thingy since it seems to affect mice but also internet: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4079148?tstart=0 Edited September 19, 2016 by Ann!b@l Quote

Platinum VIP -=HipKat=- Posted September 19, 2016 Platinum VIP Posted September 19, 2016 So this may sound silly, if you haven't done it, in console do /cvar_restart, then delete all those cvar backups in etpro folder, delete the files in /etpro/profiles/schnee and restart et, exec your cfg, then restart again Whenever I've tried to try someone else's cfg, I get mad lag spikes, red and yellow i9n my lagometer, etc and have to do what I wrote above to get things back to normal. Also, I wrote this some years ago here, it's a little dated but give it a shot http://fearless-assassins.com/topic/45241-how-i-solved-pb-finally/?view=findpost&p=394673 Quote
schNee Posted September 20, 2016 Author Posted September 20, 2016 so the lag spikes are gun, so i guess it was internet or server lagging. anyway now it seems all fine :) thank you for ur help Quote
