Would there be any interest at all in looking into a more modern COD server?

It would need to be one of the modded ones that have real dedicated servers.  I know MW2 has this, not sure about the others.

I think it might be a good move to be moving on to more recent titles as the player base in those titles is bigger, thus attracting more possible new members to keep these servers going.

From a personal standpoint, i probably won't be playing on those as much, as i do not own any other COD title then Cod4.

But if it's needed i might invest into it!

We can't move to more recent titles because there are no private servers... At most we can move to mw2 or 3? But past that Activision only has stupid matchmaking :/

 

We could recruit in newer games buuuuuut you're not going to get loyal players.. Mostly squeeky kids or scene kids that change clans like they change their phones Not really ideal for FA

 

Another problem is getting a game server even started... We had bf.. Cod black ops.. Fifa... Tf2... All dead... Because everyone wants something different. Right now our fad game is insurgency and the only reason we have the server is because shoes paid for it out of his own pocket as a test run... Not sure exactly if dare would want to fork out more money for a maybe thing.

 

I would like to see FA branch out a little more in genres Not just FPS games..mmo types would fit in well with a community setting.

 

Atm we need to do something because we're mostly relying on ET for new members... Cod doesnt have a lot of options.. And half we do recruit turn out to be flaky tag hoes that never visit the forums. -.- I would like to see more modern games in FA but we need privvy servers and Private servers are getting more rare today...

 

If we try mw2 or 3 then someone will have to take the first leap and pay for the server to see if its worth out time. If it does well we can put it on the hosting tab.

I know that MP servers (outside of the crappy ones in MW3 I think) aren't "technically" supported.

I can't say I've looked into it much recently, but I know in the past I used to host AlterIW servers.

This was for MW2 and it was a ton of fun.  

Technically the game was a crack though, (why it was eventually shut down) but I was just curious if anyone else thought it was worth looking into.
