Following its release in Japan last month, From Software's Dark Souls III launches today, April 12, in the west for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Now, publisher Bandai Namco has put out a powerful launch trailer for the highly anticipated role-playing game, showcasing some of its environments and enemies.

Bandai Namco notes in the video's description that it contains some spoilers, so be warned. Check it out above.

The song used in the video is Hozier's "In The Woods Somewhere."

In other news about Dark Souls III, PC players are reporting that the game is crashing early on, blocking them from progressing further. Check out this post to see everything we know about the bug so far.

GameSpot's Dark Souls III review awarded the sequel 8/10.

"There are several possible endings to Dark Souls III, and although most are anticlimactic, they drive home the loneliness of the paths we took," reviewer Mike Mahardy said.

"The old lords have abandoned their posts, and in the hunt to usurp them, we descend into those dark valleys, and climb those imposing peaks. This is the essence of Dark Souls III: periods of doubt, followed by great reward. The journey may be rocky, but there's a throne waiting at the end."

There is a heavy learning curve to these games but once it clicks, it's amazing.

I stayed up until 3:00 AM playing it last night. First time I did that with a game that wasn't ET in quite some time.
