I suspected as much:  "A grizzly bear paw, from a bear that's sedated and about to be tagged and released."

 

That is one of the few times that a Biologist would dare to get that close to a living Grizzly bear!  

 

 

I just had a thought:  if she's a Mother, she could have taken that picture home and told her children, "Look what Mommy did today!"
