Rapper Sean Price Dies at 43

American rapper Sean Price has died at 43, according to Billboard. Price was a member of the acclaimed hip-hop duo Heltah Skeltah, whose 1996 debut album Nocturnal is held in high esteem by rap aficionados. Price was a part of the Brooklyn rap scene since the early '90s, and recently performed as a solo artist. His last album was 2012's Mic Tyson. Billboard reports:

 

"It is with beyond a heavy heart that Duck Down Music is sadly confirming that Sean Price passed away early this morning in his Brooklyn apartment, Saturday, August 8th, 2015," reads a statement from his reps. "The cause of death is currently unknown, but it was reported that he died in his sleep. He's survived by his wife, and his three children.
