Jules Bianchi, 25. died today from the severe head injuries he sustained in the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix. He had been in a coma since the day of the crash. The accident happened when Adrian Sutil's, Force India had gone off on the rain and had brought out the yellow flag as the recovery truck had to come on to the track to remove Sutil's car only for Bianchi to lose control of his car on the exit of the turn before, with his wheels locking up and crashing into the recovery vehicle with his head hitting the vehicle.

The race was red flagged. It is the first death in Formula 1 since 1994 when Ayrton Senna was killed in a crash.

Bianchi's family said, "Jules fought right to the very end, as he always did, but today his battle came to an end."

Its so so sad news, i like him a lot and he was great driver, bring first points to Marussia in last season. In his accidents happen so many things what should not happen anymore in these days. Btw Wolfie Roland Ratzenberger did die in same race weekend than Senna. Ppls keep forgetting him too often when Senna die in same weekend.

Rest in Peace Bianchi you never forgetten!

Yeah I know about Roland RatzenBerger but he died the day before Senna, so that's why I said since Senna.

It's very sad but I guess one thing Formula 1 can take out of this is how to make the sport more safe for the drivers.

Sad day for sport. F1 is still risky even its safe.

I'm a big motorsport enthusiast and I know (not personally) Bianchi since maybe 10 years. I knew he was a great driver and I was hoping to see him in Ferrari in next years. I feel very sorry for him and his family, unfortunately every year, drivers, codrivers and also spectators died living their passion... :(

French newspaper "L'Equipe".

"He left", or "He's gone".

I can't still believe it. I don't feel very sad actually, we knew he was in a bad situation after his crash.

I just don't believe and don't accept what happened. Life is unfair. He'll stay forever in our heart I'm sure, as Pironi, Depailler, Cevert, but also all drivers and codrivers who died last few years (Burns, McRae, Park, etc...) :(

Some footage from last year by Canal+. He'll stay forever like this very great guy we can see in these videos!

He was one on few, not many got f1 level. In early days it was just skill and connections
