Saint070 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) For many Call of Duty fans, the series reached its pinnacle with early titles like Modern Warfare, Black Ops, andModern Warfare 2. According to widespread fan demand, one of the best ways to keep the series healthy would be to revisit those earlier titles with updated remasters on the new batch of consoles. Turns out Activision’s CEO, Eric Hirshberg, agrees with them—it’s just a matter of finding the resources to get them made. “It’s always the opportunity cost, meaning we need every body we can get to make the content we’re already committed to for our new games,” Hirshberg told Game Informer. “It’s always a matter of finding great people to do that work. I would love to play Modern Warfare 1 or the original Black Ops. There’s certainly a deep well there. No announcements, but it’s something we talk about and think about a lot.” That’s far from confirmation that any such remasters are on the way, but it’s comforting to know that Activision is thinking of ways to make them work. At the very least, Hirshberg’s willingness to revisit past Call of Duty titles might be a good sign for the many, many folks that want to see older Call of Duty titles added to the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility lineup. SiD Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Even if they did remaster it, they would f*** it up. I can almost guarantee no more private servers. Shithole matchmaking. Probably add or remove perks to make it feel new. 3 Quote
