Since I missed the seasons, can someone tell me how they wrote off Ziva, and did she and Dinozzo ever get together?

She is still alive.  They came close.

Ziva is like a tank, u can't kill her, u can't beat her up and well dinozzo is a simple boy in love to that machine killer and will follow her to whatever forsaken place he had to go to rescue her :D

 

 

That was a sum of one episode i saw lately, not entirely sure to which one was it :P
