putts Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) I think you are suppose to leave it in a rice bag for 24 hours. Do you have the tools to remove the back cover and battery? If yes, then take out the battery and plug the phone into the charger. If it powers on (you may have to push the power button), it should be ok and replace the battery. It will not fully boot because the phone does a check for the battery. If the battery is missing, then it will shut down. Edited March 30, 2015 by putts Quote
Naddi Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Try to take the back off the phone. Put everything in rice for at least 24 hours. Put the battery back in and try to charge it. If it works fine after that you'll have no problems at all. I made the huge mistake and took my iPhone with me in my bathing suit when i went swimming I put it in rice too, charged it, but it went from 100% to 50% in less than 10 minutes. So i just had to buy a new iPhone. Good luck with it! Quote
JohnTV Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Rice takes a long time (24hrs or more) to remove moisture. If you've tried to turn it on before that time, better just get a new phone. Quote
